John A. Kruszewski, O.D.

Dr. Kruszewski is originally from Cleveland, Ohio and completed his undergraduate studies at John Carroll University in Cleveland Heights.

He graduated cum laude from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1986. He began his career as a naval officer, serving as staff optometrist and contact lens clinic coordinator at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. He started his private practice in 1993 with the vision of providing exceptional eye care in a warm, friendly environment.

Dr. Kruszewski is a volunteer and active member of the Sylvania Sunrise Lions Club, and has served as the club’s president. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association, and is also a past President of the Toledo Area Optometric Society. Dr. Kruszewski is married, and enjoys snow skiing, exercise, traveling, and spending time with his family.

Kylee K. Kleppinger, O.D.

Dr. Kleppinger is originally from Marion, Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Fisheries and Wildlife Management from Ohio State University in 2007. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from Ohio State University in 2011. Dr. Kleppinger enjoys providing comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association.

​She is also a provider for the InfantSee program which provides free assessments for babies ages 6 to 12 months.
Dr. Kleppinger resides in Genoa, Ohio. Her hobbies include snow skiing, scuba diving, traveling, spending time with family and of course, cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes whenever possible.

Heather, Licensed Optician

Heather became a Licensed Optician in 2001 and joined our Pinnacle family in March of 2012. She not only takes pride in assisting her patients with their visual needs, but also the fashion side of eyewear selection. Her honesty and fashion sense helps her patients look their absolute best. Heather is married and the proud mother of 2 children, whom she considers her greatest accomplishments in life.

Ann, Licensed Optician

Ann joined our team in 2013 and has enjoyed being a Licensed Optician for over 25 years. Her favorite part of her job is to find that perfect frame style that will match our patient’s face shape and personality. As our social activities director, Ann loves to plan fun monthly activities and outings for our staff.

Ann, Licensed Optician

Rebekah is a Licensed Optician who has been a part of the Pinnacle family since 2002.

She enjoys providing personalized care in selecting the right eyewear for each patient’s
visual and style needs. Rebekah is married and through adoption, she is the mother of 3 beautiful children.

Wendy, Optical team member

Wendy has been a part of our Optical Team since 2013. She brought with her a strong background in providing Customer Service in the Fine Jewelry Industry. Wendy enjoys the direct interaction she has with our patients, as well as assisting them in enhancing their vision and finding the perfect frames to fit their personal style.

In her free time, Wendy enjoys traveling with her husband, spending time with their 3 grandsons, and designing, building and repurposing furniture.

Jen, Optical Manager

Jen is our Optical Manager and one of our Licensed Opticians. She joined the Pinnacle team in 2018 bringing 18 years in optical as well as success in running her own business. Jen is committed to providing the best customer service. She enjoys the interaction with patients and helping them with their optical needs. She is a proud mother of 2 daughters and enjoys spending her free time with them and participating in their activities.

Rachel, Licensed Optician

Rachel is a Spectacle and Contact Lens Licensed Optician with over 25 years of experience in the industry. Joining our practice in 2012, her expertise is in complex prescriptions and specialty contact lenses. She resides in Sylvania with her husband and two children. In her free time, Rachel is an acrylic artist and a beekeeper.

Jean, Licensed Optician

Jean is a Licensed Optician who has been a member of our team since 2002 and continues to really enjoy helping our patients look and see their best. Along with the typical duties of the job she likes a good challenge such as finding the perfect frame fit or troubleshooting. She loves spending lots of quality time with her husband and two sons doing all things outdoors. Her dreams of frequenting the Caribbean ocean while listening to Jimmy Buffet fill her mind while camping, fishing, biking, lots of soccer and traveling all about are the things she lucky enough to have occupied her time.

Amy, Optometric Technician

Amy joined our team in 2007 as an Optometric Technician. She has worked her way through almost every department in our office. You still might find her pre-testing patients and doing specialized testing but she also helps our front desk team with answering phones and checking patients in and out. Some of us call her our Jack of all trades. Amy enjoys swimming, fishing, Nascar and spending time with her family and friends.

Lisa, Optometric Technician

Lisa joined the Pinnacle Eye Group in 2013 as an Optometric Technician. She enjoys giving a friendly smile while working closely with patients through the pre-test process. Lisa has fun with our patients and makes them feel at home. Since being an empty nester, her favorite things to do outside of work are yoga, family vacations, walking in the park and red wine.

Erin, Front Desk

Erin joined our practice in February 2018. Erin helps out in many areas of our office. In her free time Erin, her husband Kevin and their children Ty and Natalina enjoy boating and watching the Detroit Tigers.

Lisa, Insurance Coordinator and Billing Specialist

Lisa joined our practice in 2004. As our insurance coordinator and billing specialist, she is happy to assist our patients with all of their insurance questions. In her free time she enjoys spending time traveling the world with her husband.

Terese, Patient Care Coordinator

Terese joined the practice in 2015 after 20 years in fine jewelry sales and design. One of the aspects of her job as a patient care coordinator she enjoys the most is making sure patients have fun and feel welcome at each visit. When she is not working she can be found relaxing on the beaches of North Carolina’s Outer Banks while beachcombing with her 2 daughters.
